We were bargaining for the discount of tuk tuk cost to kilo #8 ( an area that is in the outskirt of the town) for our SYCA-Cambodia’s workshop for high school students (mostly muslim students) about how to choose university majors, prepare for scholarships, and other skills like internet usage, public speaking, team work, volunteerism and so. After the negotiation, the cost was reduced by 2000 Riels ($ 0.5) ….but this is not the reason why we were so happy and post this post!!!!…..Actually, the most amazing thing is that the tuk tuk driver bargained with us that, he’ll reduce the price by $0.5 given that we accept his request to allow his son to join the workshop to learn from us !!!
We were over the moon that he valued and invested in education for his kid !!!!!
